Maya Elany is a filmmaker, storyteller and comedian.

She is currently working as a freelance editor for programs such as PBS’s art21, as well as on comedy sketches and narrative projects.

Maya graduated from Oberlin College and Prague Film school  where she studied film production and created both narrative and documentary films.

​

She worked for Oberlin's Theater Department creating trailers and sizzle reels as well as interned for Lincoln Center's Digital Tech Team. 

​

While at Oberlin she was the technical director, host and co-creator for Oberlin's first late night comedy talk show, Good Talk. She continues to pursue comedy through stand up, sketch comedy and filmmaking.
